Making the impact of editing the semantic layers visible.
When you edit a semantic layer that is being used by users, there is a high chance that you are going to effect the Dashboards and Reports they are using.
Why?
Because you are changing the underlying layer that those content objects are accessing the data through.
A lot of BI tools leave it to you to understand the impact of the changes you are making on the users, but no Yellowfin it actually tries to manage the process for you.
So I can edit a clone of the view without impacting users, and then when I activate the changes it seamlessly switches the old for new. Aladdin eat your heart out!
