Shane writes an AgileBI series called “3 AgileBI Things” published on LinkedIN Pulse. This article below is a copy of “3. AgileBI Things – 2016-11-21“.  Shane also writes on AgileBI concepts at AgileBI Guru.

1. Technical Debt Game

I love finding new ways to educate a team on AgileBI concepts and I also love lego.

I was stoked when I read a tweet by Andy Bacon which pointed at an article that has both!:

Technical Debt with LEGO

2. Product Owner Overview

I am lucky enough to be helping a customer build a 2 hour AgileBI Product Owner overview course right now. Damn it’s hard to compress things into such a short space of time, means you have to be ruthless with your messaging.

Here is a great short video on what a product owner does:

3. AgileBI Thoughts

Often I will read an article on AgileBI and it will basically say that AgileBI is achieved by buying and using one of the new breed of the BI tools. Buy a tool and your done (no doubt the article is sponsored by a vendor ….)

Bollocks!

To achieve sustainable AgileBI capability you need a tool kit of new Concepts, Processes, Templates and Automation. Not to mention adopting the Agile Disciplines (Agile is not Adhoc!)

Great article by Daniel Angermann with his thoughts and experience in the land of AgileBI.
