I love learning new stuff!

The six months I spent at Xero has probably been my most intensive learning experience I have had, and in retrospect it was due to the fact it was total immersion, completely focussed on delivery (having Rod Drury walking the floor behind you has that effect)

In the last 5 years I have learnt a lot of new things during the Optimal journey.  One of the things I have learnt is while training courses are good I much prefer (and learn more) by actually doing things in real life.

And one of the things I want to learn next is the whole concept of the Agile approach to see how it works and if it can make what we do for our customers better and faster, (and I mean true agile not just have a 15 min stand up each day and sticking post it notes on a whiteboard!)

So this week im going to spend 5 days with the team from BoostAgile in their office and we are going to build a small software product.  The Boost team are providing the Scrum Master, UX and Dev team, and I get to be the customer for once!

Its going to be a wild week!
